RevCatch is a car-spotting game made by Three Hearts ("we", "us"). You take a photo of a car, an AI identifies it, and it goes into your garage. This policy explains what we collect and why.
What we collect
- Account details: your email address, your username, and your password (stored securely by our provider; we cannot read it).
- Location: with your permission, RevCatch uses your device's location while you use the app to show nearby cars and help with road alerts. We do not track your location in the background, and we do not sell it or share it for advertising. You can turn location off at any time in your phone's settings.
- Your garage: the cars you catch, including the photo you took, the car's identification, and when you caught it.
- Posts and activity: photos, videos (shown in Reels), GIFs and captions you post, plus your likes, comments, follows and blocks.
- Direct messages: the messages you send and receive in RevCatch, so we can deliver them. Only you and the other person can see a conversation. Messages are not end-to-end encrypted, and we may read a message if someone reports it.
- Reports: if you report content, we store the report and its reason.
- Scan limits: to limit how many scans each person can do per day, we store a random ID created on your device (not your name or advertising ID) and a scrambled (hashed) version of your network address. We cannot use these to identify you in person.
- Purchases: if you buy RevCatch Pro, the purchase is handled by Google Play or the Apple App Store. We receive only your subscription status and a purchase ID, never your card details.
Car photos and AI
When you scan a car, the photo is sent to a third-party AI service (Anthropic's Claude) so it can identify the car. We ask your permission before your first scan. Only the photo is sent, not your name or email. Anthropic processes it under its own terms and privacy policy.
Stored on your device
Your coins, unlocked items, settings, trial and promo-code status are saved on your device, not on our servers. If you add your own music (MP3 or WAV), it stays on your device and is never uploaded.
Camera and photos
The camera is used only when you open the Snap screen. The photo library is used only when you choose to add a photo to a post. We do not read your other photos.
Who we share data with
- Supabase hosts our database, sign-in and file storage (servers in the United States).
- Anthropic processes car photos for identification, as described above.
- Giphy may be used to search GIFs if you use the GIF picker. Your search words are sent to Giphy.
- RevenueCat helps us confirm purchases and subscription status. It receives your anonymous account ID and purchase information.
- Your username, profile, posts, reels, comments and garage may be visible to other RevCatch users. Direct messages are visible only to you and the person you write to.
We do not sell your data, and we do not track you across other apps or websites. RevCatch may show ads from partners inside the app.
Keeping your data
We keep your data while your account exists. Scan-limit records are kept only to enforce daily limits.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account any time in the app: Settings → Delete my account. This permanently deletes your account, garage, photos and posts. You can also email us at revcatch@3hcofficial.com and we will delete it for you.
Children
RevCatch is for people 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us data, email us and we will delete it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your data, or to object to some processing. Email revcatch@3hcofficial.com and we will respond within 30 days.
Security
We use industry-standard protections, including encrypted connections and access rules that only let you change your own data. No system is perfectly secure.
Changes
If we change this policy in a meaningful way we will update the date above and tell you in the app.
